L'AQUILA WEDDING / Portia & Thabo - November 2016

What a treat it was to end off our 2016 wedding season with Portia and Thabo's wedding at L'Aquila Country Estate. Their special day was just too beautiful and they are just the sweetest couple, we really enjoyed spending the day with them. It was such a stunning day that even a little rain couldn't dampen the mood.

A wedding is a whirlwind of events, gone in the blink of an eye. If you are looking to effectively plan out your wedding day with your wedding coordinator or fiance, here’s a look at a typical wedding timeline from a photography point of view to help you when you're working on  that pesky time schedule.

CHEZ CHARLENE WEDDING / Lucilia & Nicholas - October 2016

Lucilia and Nicholas celebrated their very special day at Chez Charlene just outside of Pretoria.  They said their I do's surrounded by family and friends and we could see how loved they are by everyone. Their 'cute as a button' son Ed just stole the show! Lucilia looked absolutely gorgeous and Nicholas just couldn't contain his emotions when seeing her during their first look.

 It was a super fun day for us, as we got to see two previous couples whose weddings we'd photographed a few years ago, maid of honour René,and her husband Renaldo, and guests Rochelle and Daniel. What an incredible celebration to be part of, we loved photographing their day! There are still so many photos we wanted to share, but here are some highlights from their day. CASA-LEE COUNTRY LODGE WEDDING / Mari & JP - September 2016

Wow! What a spectacular day! This was my first wedding after returning from maternity leave, and it was certainly one to remember. Mari and JP hosted an incredible wedding at Casa-Lee Country Lodge, from the gorgeous details and decor, Mari's beautiful dress, to the emotion on JP's face when Mari walked down the aisle with her Dad. This wedding was just such a stunning celebration from beginning to end! We loved working with Mari & JP and their families, thank you so much for choosing Ironrose as your photographers!

CASA-LEE COUNTRY LODGE WEDDING / Mari & JP - Sneak Preview

This was my very first wedding after returning from maternity leave, so I felt a little bit rusty, but I was soon very much back into the swing of things with this beautiful spring wedding at Casa-Lee Country Lodge. All I can say is; Mari, that dress!!!!

LOMBARDY BOUTIQUE HOTEL WEDDING / Cheyna & Stephen - April 2016

There is just something so gorgeous about an Autumn wedding, the greens, browns and yellows of the leaves on the trees, combined with exquisite soft lighting makes for some magical photographs! It always helps when you have an awesome couple in front of your lens and you can clearly see that they are just 'meant to be'. Cheyna is the owner of an event planning company, Pop the Champagne, so it was obvious that this wedding was planned to perfection!

AVIANTO WEDDING / Zisekho & Aupa - March 2016

This was our very first wedding at Avianto in Muldersdrift, and wow, what a beautiful wedding it was! Zisekho looked absolutely gorgeous and Aupa was a dashing groom. Sometimes the light just plays along so beautifully! The lovely Cindy & Robert celebrated their big day at one of our favourite venues, Oakfield Farm. We loved all of the personal touches and their colour scheme of reds and blacks. Cindy's shoes were just divine, and the guys in their kilts made the day just that little bit more unique and different! One of the greatest things about being a wedding photographer is that no wedding and couple is ever the same. Each has their very own story and personality that shines through in their wedding day. Our first wedding of 2016 took place at the gorgeous Casablanca Manor, and what a lovely couple to start the year off with! Monika & Jacques are two of the nicest people you'll meet! We loved the combination of purples and greens, from the beautiful decor to the bridesmaids dresses. We really enjoyed documenting their special day which was filled with so much love and laughter.
